What is a giclee:

A Giclée (Pronounced giclay) is a french term for fine and thin spurt. Each giclée print is composed of more than 4 million ink droplets capable of creating in excess of 1,000 shades of rich color.

To realize these giclées each original is either scanned with a very high resolution scanner or a picture is taken by a very high resolution digital camera. each process creates a computerized file wich is the source of all giclées. From the file, some sample, or part of the giclée are then printed and Chantelle's works with the printer to modify the file to make sure that the final result satisfies her totally.

Because no screens are used, the giclées have higher resolution than lithography. In the giclée process, a fine stream of ink - more than four million droplets per second - is spurted onto archival art paper (For the reproduction of her pastel) or specially prepared canvas (For the reproduction of her oil paintings).

From Chantelle's Originals: They are all made from Chantelle's own Oils and Pastels.

Collectible: All Hand signed by the artist and matted.

The deluxe collections: Concerns only limited edition prints, each of them double matted and hand numbered.

The standard edition: Concerns single matted open edition prints.
